This active, inter-active resource on video/DVD is based on the concept that preschool children have a natural, innate openness to God and Spiritual matters. The children naturally respond to Jesus’ invitation to come follow me and come pray with me. Through multiple-styled creative learning activities, the preschoolers and their adult friends will discover ways to express their natural openness and spirituality through the practice of prayer. Whether watching and interacting with it on their own or with adult caregivers/parents/teachers, the preschool children will desire to draw closer to God through the avenue of prayer and readily invite their adult friends to “Come Pray with Me…” on their journey. Lynn Somers and her special puppet friends bring to life in a new way stories from Genesis, the first book of the Bible. Stories included are: “Creation”, “Sir Pent’s Story of the Fall” (or “Originile Sir Pent and Original Sin”), “Animal’s Ark” (the story of Noah’s ark), an interactive version music video of “The Ark-y Song”, “The Tower of Babel”, “He Laughed Explained” (the story of Isaac being born to Sarah and Abraham) and the music video version of the song “Father Abraham”. The video can be viewed in its entirety as an entertaining educational experience for children and their families together or in other settings within churches and programs. It is also possible to cue one story segment of the video and use it to reinforce or go along with the Bible Lesson/curriculum of that particular story. Either way, Lynn and her “friends” bring a creative, new and fresh approach to some old favorite Bible Stories.
